LAZER EPILATION
Has been developed in the field of industry for the first time. In the following years devices that can provide single short shots were developed and laser began to take its place in medical application.
The development process accelarated by the beginning of 1980. In 1988 FDA approved the treatment of a congenital vascular disease (Port wine stain) with a Dye laser. After this, the development accelerated more and laser has started being widely used in fields like treatment of capillaries, removing stains and tattoos.
With the first IPL device developed in 1994, epilation type called photo epilation began. However, these first devices were observed to have many side effects. Just after this ruby, diode, nd-yag and alexandrite lasers were developed and laser epilation era began.
Absorption of the laser ray by a dye stuff called melanin found in the structure of the hair and the destruction of the root cells by the released heat energy is aimed. Therefore, a wavelength, which is absorbed by melanin the easiest, should be preferred. This order is as ruby, alexandrite, diode, nd-yag, from the most absorbed to the least.
Alexandrite laser can provide efficient treatment due to this feature by using less energy. Though this laser type was short pulsed at the beginning, long pulsed technology was developed in order to protect the skin more and to be used in darker skins.
In our clinic, epilation is performed by the latest LONG PULSED ALEXANDRITE LASER.

The fast changing of medicine directly affects epilation technologies and change continues in this field rapidly.
The purpose of all epilation techniques with light is destructing the hair root and preventing the formation of hairs. The main rule is the light' s or laser' s reaching the hair root which has been sent to the skin.
The light should be absorbed by the dye stuff called melanin, found in the structure of the hair. By this way, the light will transform into heat energy and destroys the hair forming cells of the hair root. The wavelength, absorbed by melanin the easiest, should be preferred. Blue light uses the wavelength range of 400-600 nm that is absorbed by melanin the best.
In order to reach to the hair root, the light that is used should reach to the sufficient depth. Blue light (PPX) system draws the hair roots to the surface with a patented vacuum system that it has manufactured and the desired efficiency on deep located hairs can be provided.
Since absorption by melanin is high, low energy values are sufficient for efficieny.
While water, applied to the skin as a thin layer evaporates during the process, it cools the skin and system does not need an extra cooler.
The application is conducted by caps exclusive to individuals. Caps are developed to apply vacuum and scan a large area. Therefore, it shortened the application period of the system. Time saving is an important advantage for large areas.
Due to all those reasons we have stated above, application is completely painless.
Daphne laser services provided our patients a positive change in their appearances and more importantly enhanced their self-confidences and changed their way of looking at life positively.
